From October 2018, a long held dream come true for us, we received support from the Badur Foundation to launch our Adult Education Program. We’ve been trying to raise funds for the program for years, because the families of the afterschool students have long been telling us that they would like to finish their primary school education, get a vocational qualification, or high school diploma in order to get a better job or a better wage at their recent employment. Following a thorough needs assessment, the adult training program started with nearly 30 participants. The program is based on a mentor system that has been used for a long time in the afterschool, therefore mentors support participants in acquiring the curricula, prepare for their exams and make job applications.
